Upon successful completion of the course the students will be able to:

• identify decision making problems
• formulate a real-world problem as a mathematical programming model
• use algorithms for a problem solution
• solve specialized linear programming problems like the transportation and assignment problems
• use an excel application (SOLVER) and modern technologies in operations research problems
