The mission of the Postgraduate Program (PMS) is to advance the science of Agronomy with a focus on new technological developments, advancements in the fields of economic and social development, and the technical and social processes of rural development, particularly in agricultural and border areas, in continuation of the mission of the respective Department (Government Gazette 179/6-9-1999, Presidential Decree 208, Article 1).

Specifically, the mission of the PMS is:

• The direct connection between teaching and research in the three specializations of the MSc program with the development of science and technology.
• The creation of highly skilled scientific personnel with a defined orientation that will staff research, development, and application institutions in the agricultural sciences.
